Demnächst gibt es von mir ein neues Strickmuster. Dafür ist es gut zu wissen, wie eine einzige Masche das Gestrick raffen kann. Das klappt sehr gut über die sogenannte “Falzmasche”. Man sticht einfach auf der Rückseite der Arbeit ein paar Reihen tiefer in den Kopf einer Masche ein und holt den Faden hoch. Den strickt man mit der nächsten Masche auf der Nadel zusammen.
Das Ergebnis ist ziemlich beeindruckend. Weil die Technik so “trocken” schwer zu beschreiben ist, habe ich Fotos gemacht und alles in einem Tutorial zusammengefaßt, das ihr Euch hier als PDF herunterladen könnt.

Some time these days I´ll be launching a new design. It´s going to be a cardigan. And if you´re knitting it up, knowing how a simple stitch can crease your fabric is super helpful. All you will need to do is to, at the back of work, insert your needle a few rows below, to pick up the thread of a purl bump and to place the thread on your needle. Then you´ll knit the new loop together with the next stitch. The result is an impressive fold. Since it´s hard to explain, I took some pictures and put all the information into a tutorial.
